On the weekends over the cooler months, bring your camp chair, drinks and nibbles along to the campfire over near the Camp Kitchen. Our team will generally light up the camp fire on Friday and Saturday night (weather conditions permitting).
Whether it's by the fire on the weekend, or the site next to you... don't be shy, introduce yourself (socially distancing, of course) and swap travelling stories, you just never know who you will bump into on the open road!
While you are here, Karuah is the perfect central location to explore the Port Stephens area and really worth a 4 night stay, with easy day-trips to the following:
- Barrington Tops World Heritage Rainforest to the north
- Nelson Bay and Newcastle to the south
- Hawks Nest and Tea Gardens to the east
- Raymond Terrace and the Hunter Valley to the west
