There's plenty of fun family activities and BIG4 Karuah Jetty makes a great base to explore from!

If you and the family love to get out and explore the local area, we've put together a list of things you can see and do in the local area:

Oakvale Wildlife Park

This lovely animal park features free-roaming animals, fantastic zoo-keeper talks, live feeding shows, trailer tractor rides, a fun playground, BBQ facilities as well as an onsite café. If you visit in summer, they also have a Splash Bay to cool off in. Additional to the entry are wildlife animal encounters with koalas, birds, meerkats and more. Irukandji Shark and Ray Encounters

Located in Anna Bay, the family-friendly experience features large lagoons with sandy shores, rocky reefs, caves, crevices, shark and ray feeding - an experience like no other. Fighter World

Located next to the RAAF base at Williamtown, Fighter World is dedicated to preserving the proud history of fighter aircraft operations in the Royal Australian Air Force. This 'hands on' experience is located in two hangars, where visitors can walk-around, touch and look into the cockpits. Fighter World also offers the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of a Mirage interceptor and Macchi jet trainer and experience first-hand what it’s like to be one of Australia’s ‘Top Gun’ pilots in today’s hi-tech world. The Stockton Sand Dunes

There are 2,500 hectares of sand dunes that make up Stockton Bight in the Worimi Conservation Lands, located at Birubi Beach, Anna Bay. There's a number of ways to explore this natural wonder, including 4WD tours, Quad bike tours and sandboarding. You can also book a camel ride or horse riding adventure in the area. Guided Kayak Tours

Book a 2 hour guided tour by kayak, with the team at Lazy Paddles, to experience nature up close. Their Myall River Discovery tour is perfect for those new to kayaking or those keen to explore the river with a local and a chance of seeing dolphins up close! Fishing

Fish right from our 250 metre long private jetty here in the park. Throw a line in and try your luck at pulling in a bream, flathead or one of many others. 

Skate Park

Karuah has a skate Park catering for skate, scooter and BMX. It is well utilised and caters for a range of skill levels with a half pipe, grind rails, large wedge fun box, teardrops, flat banks, a manual pad and a spine. It is located within walking distance of the holiday park at Alicetown Reserve (around 700 metres from the park entrance, turn left at Johnson Ave, then it's past the off-leash dog exercise area on the right).
